Dreams In Technicolor - Book

€75.00 Sold Out

A self-published photography book by Louis Dazy. 4 years of photography and words.

It is time for me to release my first self-published photography book, 4 years of wandering around the globe, Melbourne, Paris, Vancouver, shooting life, friends and strangers as I go. A journey where I got to find myself more than I thought I ever would. The book is filled with memories and words for you to experience my feelings at the time, how I saw things on the road, in different places and different moods. I once read that nostalgia is a longing for a home that no longer exists or has never existed. A cinematic image of nostalgia is a double exposure, or a superimposition of two images—of home and abroad, of past and present, of dream and everyday life. The moment we try to force it into a single image, it breaks the frame or burns the surface. It is a sentiment of loss and displacement, but it is also a romance with one’s own fantasy. The imperative of a contemporary nostalgic is to be homesick and sick of home—occasionally at the same time. This is what Dreams in Technicolor is about, this is what I want to share with you.
